Community guidelines
Short version: be kind, share your own work, and credit others.
Be kind
Everyone here is learning something. Constructive suggestions are welcome; unkind comments, gatekeeping or mocking beginners are not. Assume good intent.
Share your own work
Post projects you actually made. If you followed someone else's pattern or tutorial, say so and link to it if you can. That's not just polite, it helps the next person.
Only upload patterns you designed
Pattern uploads are for designers sharing their own designs. Do not upload patterns from books, magazines, Ravelry, Etsy or other designers, even if they're free elsewhere and even if you've "changed a few bits". When you upload, you confirm you are the copyright owner, and your name is shown as the owner. See copyright & licences.
Photos
Use your own photos wherever possible. If you use a stock photo, it must be free to use (Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay, CC0 or a Creative Commons licence) and you must give the credit or source link the form asks for. Never use a photo you found via an image search without knowing its licence.
No selling or spam
You can mention your shop on your profile and say "this pattern is also on my Etsy" in a post. Posts that are purely adverts, affiliate dumps or repeated promotion will be removed.
Keep it family friendly
People of all ages browse here. Keep language and imagery suitable for that.
Reporting
Every post has a "Report" link. Reports go to the moderators and are reviewed by a human. Copyright reports are prioritised; see the takedown process.
