About CraftingUK

CraftingUK is a place for people who make things with their hands to share what they've made, how they made it, and the patterns behind it.

We started with yarn. Crochet and knitting sit front and centre here, and they're the crafts with the deepest support: pattern uploads, hook and needle sizes, yarn weights and tension. But crafting rarely stays in one lane, so there's a corner for paper, paint, pottery, sewing, wood and a couple of dozen more.

What you can do here

• Share projects with photos, instructions, materials and tips.
• Share your own patterns as PDFs, charts or text, under a licence you choose. You always stay the copyright owner.
• Save and love other people's makes, leave kind comments and ask questions.
• Follow along with RSS feeds for the whole site or a single craft.

Sharing that looks good

Every post gets a proper preview image when you share the link on Facebook, Pinterest, WhatsApp or anywhere else. If you've added a photo we use that. If you haven't, we generate a colourful card in the colours and pattern of your craft, so nothing ever shares as a blank grey box.
