Abbreviations: k = knit, p = purl, k2tog = knit 2 together, p2tog = purl 2 together, st(s) = stitch(es) Sizes: Baby (Child, Adult S/M, Adult L) Cast on: 56 (64, 72, 80) sts using long-tail cast on. Body: Row 1: *k2, p2* to end. Repeat this row (every row is the same, columns line up) until work measures 14 (17, 20, 22) cm from cast-on edge. For a folded brim add 6cm. Crown decreases (keep rib columns as long as possible): Row 1: *k2, p2tog* to end. 42 (48, 54, 60) sts Row 2: *k1, p2* to end. Row 3: *k2tog, p1* to end. 28 (32, 36, 40) sts Row 4: *k1, p1* to end.
